This OSHA-compliant course provides employees with the essential knowledge required under the Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200). Training covers the elements of the written hazard communication program, labeling requirements, and the use of Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Participants will learn how to interpret Globally Harmonized System (GHS) symbols, hazard statements, and signal words. Instruction also addresses the physical and health hazards of chemicals, protective measures to reduce risk, and procedures to follow during emergencies. By the conclusion of the course, employees will understand their rights to hazard information and how to apply safe practices when working with hazardous chemicals. A certificate of completion will be awarded to document successful training. 90 days to complete 1 hour of instruction time
