The HAZWOPER 8hr Refresher course satisfies OSHA's requirement for annual HAZWOPER refresher training. This training designed to provide essential knowledge and training as prescribed by the OSHA standard for hazardous waste operations and emergency response (HAZWOPER) in 29 CFR 1910.120. Specific course topics include the following: - Important and relevant HAWOPER safety and health issues addressed by OSHA and other organizations - Requirements of the OSHA HAZWOPER standard - Medical surveillance programs - Respirator basics including usage requirements and major types - Chemical protective clothing - Basic spill cleanup - Equipment usage and decontamination - Hazardous materials identification and labeling - Confined space safety guidelines - Site safety and health plans - Work site hazards and controls A certificate of completion will be awarded to document successful training. 90 days to complete 8 hours of instruction time
